New Executive Chief of UK Patent Office

I was hanging out in our school's newsroom today and saw that the UK Patent Office is getting a new executive chief. Ian Fletcher will take over the position at the end of March when Ron Marchant retires. Also, in April, the Office will change its name to the Intellectual Property Office.
"A new name to better reflect the wide range of intellectual property services that we offer" -- Ron Marchant

According to their website, this change comes after a recommendation by the Gowers Report released in Dec. 2006. So I guess watch out for that change, so you don't call it by the wrong name!
